End of Life Cycle Process for Humax Eye
This page outlines the End-of-Life Process effective from 3rd April 2024.
What is End of Life (EOL)?
An end-of-life product is when a product reaches the end of its lifecycle. For a digital product this means the device is no longer capable of receiving updates, indicating that the product is at the end of its useful life due to losing its usability or feasibility of operation.
What happens once a product retires
From 3rd April 2024, your Humax Eye will offer
- No live streaming
- No video recording on motion detection (if applicable)
- No software updates
- No security
- No support
Why is Humax Eye entering EOL
Due to the nature of digital technology, there comes a point where a product or software cannot be developed any further and it is no longer possible to provide further support. This applies to most, if not all digital technologies, including phones and apps for example. When this happens, in the best interests of our customers, we must change the platforms we use. This unfortunately means that our HUMAX EYE product has reached the end of its life and it is no longer viable for the product to continue to operate on their existing platforms.
Product Migration Options
To ensure a smooth transition, we will continue to provide full support for the HUMAX EYE until 2nd April 2024.
Please use this time to evaluate your needs and make the necessary decisions in a timely manner.
